POSITION SUMMARY :

Jewish Family and Children’s Services (JFCS) seeks a highly organized, creative, and mission-driven Development Campaign Manager to support the final phase of its historic capital campaign to establish a new $98M Holocaust Center that will serve all of Northern California. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Development and Planned Giving, this individual will oversee campaign operations, manage campaign-related donor communications, and ensure campaign activities align with the project’s vision to preserve memory, deepen understanding, and inspire action. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and communication skills, a deep appreciation for history and social impact, and a proven ability to manage complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in a transformational initiative with regional and national significance.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS :

  • Salary Range : $90,000-$110,000 (depending on experience)
  • Employment Type : full-time, exempt position with benefits
  • Employer 403(b) retirement match plus additional employer contribution (subject to eligibility)

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Serve as the day-to-day point person for the Holocaust Center capital campaign, ensuring alignment between internal teams, external consultants, and leadership
  • Create and manage detailed campaign work plans, timelines, and task tracking systems
  • Coordinate campaign meetings, take minutes, track follow-up actions, and support volunteer committees
  • Support the development and implementation of a multi-channel campaign marketing and communications plan in partnership with the Director of Development Operations, consultants, and internal teams
  • Manage production of campaign collateral, including brochures, case statements, videos, newsletters, social media content, and digital assets
  • Source, draft, and edit compelling stories and testimonials that convey the impact and urgency of the Holocaust Center initiative
  • Coordinate the preparation of campaign-related donor engagement materials (briefing memos, event materials, stewardship packages) for use by senior staff and campaign volunteers
  • Plan and support event logistics and follow-up for donor cultivation and community engagement events, including exhibit previews, site tours, and awareness briefings

    • JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 5+ years of experience in nonprofit development, campaign management or communications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; relevant advanced degree or certification a plus
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling abilities
  • Experience with capital campaigns or institutional advancement projects preferred
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of Holocaust education, Jewish history, and social justice values
