This appointment is for three years and may be renewed on successful performance. Additionally, we are offering a one-time moving allowance of $2,500 upon relocating to Memphis, TN. Activities engaged in as a Research Assistant Professor focus primarily on pursuing federal / corporate grants and research publications in the application and testing of Artificial Intelligence technologies. Related include 1) helping secure and execute contract research pertaining to the development of artificial intelligence tools for training and technical projects at the FedEx Institute of Technology; 2) providing AI-based pedagogical and instructional design support to programs in emerging technologies to be offered by the Institute and a new Polytechnic at the University of Memphis; 3) providing AI technology leadership and research support to the roll-out of a artificial intelligence strategic initiative across colleges and schools; and 4) undertaking research to position the university as a leader in artificial intelligence research.
