    About This Role :

    Markade Plumbing is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sales and Business Development Representative to establish and nurture strong relationships with both new and existing customers. This role is essential in supporting our preconstruction process and securing future projects for the company. As a Sales and Business Development Representative, you will focus on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial construction sectors. Your ability to cultivate strong client relationships will be key in promoting our services effectively. Additionally, you will work closely with the President of the company and other internal teams to achieve ambitious growth targets and strategic goals, driving the sales process from lead generation to closing deals and ensuring the successful execution of contracts.

    What You'll Do :

    Client Relationship Management :

  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry partners, and government agencies
  • Act as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts leading up to and throughout the project life cycle, ensuring high client satisfaction and maximizing business opportunities
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand professional network and represent the company
  • New Business Acquisition and Sales :

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive lead generation, prospecting, and qualifying potential clients including owners and general contractors
  • Lead the development of winning proposals, bids, and presentations, collaborating with internal teams to deliver compelling value propositions
  • Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company
  • Able to conduct facility tours, evaluate the scope of work from a technical perspective, and present relevant information to the team for consideration
  • CRM Management :

  • Utilize the CRM system to manage leads, track client interactions, and ensure accurate records of business development activities
  • Regularly update the CRM with relevant information and maintain data integrity
  • Collaboration and Coordination :

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, marketing, and legal, to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop effective sales collateral, marketing materials, and brand positioning strategies
  • Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth handover of new contracts and projects
  • Collaborate with the President, Pre-construction director, and estimating team to determine which projects to pursue.
  • Interact with general contractors, owner-clients, and internal Markade teams
  • Participate in scope review meetings with project management team during pre-con turn over.
  • Participate in pre-award meetings with general contractors.
  • What You'll Bring :

  • Strong technical background in commercial and industrial facilities & equipment (Preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of the commercial and industrial construction market, including key players, market trends, and competitive landscape
  • Proven track record of success in project management, facilities management, business development, sales, or related roles within the commercial and industrial construction industry
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strategic mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in relevant software and CRM systems
  • Proficient in M365, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, etc
  • Meticulous and self-motivated
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Self-starter with initiative and independence
  • Bachelor's degree in sales / marketing (Preferred)
  • Passionate about sales and eager to contribute to a growing company
