Job Duties :
- Perform general cost accounting and other related duties for the company
- Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements
- Maintain the general ledger
- Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and support the close of monthly books with the Controller
- Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly and verify deposits
- Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections
- Verify and / or complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
- Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit
- Manage the invoicing system
- Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills / Abilities :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required1-2 years of related experience requiredExperience in a manufacturing or start-up environment preferredExperience with NetSuite requiredPhysical Demands :
Able to sit and / or stand for the duration of the workdayAble to use a keyboard, headset, and computer monitor for the workdayMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
