Location : Houston, TX (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote after training)

Pay : $20 – $22.50 / hour (up to $23 / hr with strong experience)

About the Opportunity :
A leading healthcare technology and revenue cycle organization is seeking a Medical Collector to join their Value-Based Payments team. This role is focused on resolving assigned account receivables (A / R), managing collections, and ensuring accurate reimbursement. The position offers growth potential, hybrid flexibility after training, and long-term stability in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities :
- Complete Value Based Reimbursement processes timely and accurately
- Analyze and properly resolve assigned claims in a timely manner
- Communicate with carriers, physician offices, patients, and management to resolve issues and confirm claims status
- Accurately verify and update insurance benefits related to claims
- Process required adjustments per department protocol
- Ensure payments are posted accurately
- File appeals as needed for proper reimbursement
- Obtain medical records and supporting documents when required for claim payment
- Work A / R accounts with a quota of 40 accounts per day
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate / Bachelor’s degree a plus2–5 years of medical collections experience (cardiology strongly preferred)Experience with commercial payors (BC / BS, UHC, Cigna, Aetna)Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and ExcelKnowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and EOB interpretationFamiliarity with managed care, HMO / PPO plans, and medical terminologyStrong communication (written & verbal) and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentTech savvy with the ability to work across multiple systemsSchedule & Environment :
