Job Description : Planner (Manufacturing Company)

Location : Santa Clarita, CA

Compensation : $75 - 90K annually

Direct Hire

Position Summary :

The Planner is responsible for coordinating and scheduling production activities to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. This role works closely with project managers, production, supply chain, and logistics teams to optimize schedules, manage resources, and maintain efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop, maintain, and update production schedules to support project timelines.

Coordinate with production, engineering, and project management to ensure resources are allocated efficiently.

Monitor progress of projects and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines.

Review and analyze material requirements, ensuring timely availability of raw materials and components.

Communicate schedule updates and potential risks or delays to stakeholders.

Collaborate with purchasing and supply chain teams to address material shortages or changes.

Generate reports and metrics related to production planning and performance.

Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and recommending process efficiencies.

Qualifications :

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

2+ years of planning, scheduling, or related experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with ERP / MRP systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
