We have an immediate need for an Electrical Engineer Lakeland, FL.

The Senior Electrical Engineering position will provide excellent potential for growth in leadership and technical expertise. The successful candidate will be responsible for client engagement, proposal development and organization, coordination and execution of all electrical engineering activities across multiple projects.

Required :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years Electrical Engineering experience in chemical, manufacturing or industrial markets is desirable
  • Experienced in design of low / medium / high voltage electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, motors, motor control centers, lighting, grounding, cables and cable raceways.
  • Proficient in Electrical Engineering design (load calcs, single lines, motor schematics, grounding, area lighting, electrical equipment selection and sizing, layout constraints, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of process controls and instrumentation (preferred)
  • Knowledgeable in codes and standards affecting electrical work including NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and OSHA
  • Knowledgeable in various Electrical design software (SKM, etc.) and Excel
  • Experienced defining project scope, execution plan, manpower estimates and schedule for Electrical work on multi-discipline projects.
  • Experienced effectively executing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient at coordinating work with multi-discipline teams to achieve project goals.
  • Experienced managing others to achieve quality, cost and schedule requirements.
  • Available for limited travel to client facilities for project development and execution.
  • FL P.E. License with NCEES record (likely a must) - NOTE : if candidate does not have a PE, if they have an EIT with minimum 4 years' experience, they will be considered
  • TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card) (preferred)

Job Details :

  • Assist with client engagement and proposal development (define electrical scope, manpower requirements and schedule).
  • Develop value added solutions to our clients’ open-ended design problems related to low and medium voltage power systems
  • Perform Electrical calculations (short circuit, load studies, arc flash, lighting, etc.)
  • Develop Electrical deliverables (reports, specifications, load studies, single lines, schematics, cable schedules, grounding plans, lighting layouts, electrical room layouts, etc.)
  • Coordination with multi-discipline engineering teams.
  • Review of engineering deliverables from other disciplines to ensure compliance with electrical requirements.
