Our client is an internationally known logistics company and has an immediate opening for a Packaging Department Assistant Supervisor. There has never been a better time to join the logistics industry than with this opportunity!

17.75 per hour

The Packaging Department Assistant Supervisor position is a Day Shift, Monday to Friday.

In this role, the Packaging Department Assistant Supervisor supports the Supervisor to ensure work groups in the department completes their assignment accurately and on time.

The Packaging Department Assistant Supervisor is a physical job, in addition to assisting the Floor Supervisor, responsibilities of the position include :

  • Ensure all work is done in a safe manner and all workers are aware of safety expectations
  • Check that all products and materials match requirements for that day’s work including correct quantities
  • Refill product and materials for lines as needed
  • Ensure all associates are staying on task to meet project quotas
  • Assist the Supervisor in troubleshooting issues, implementing processes, and keeping
  • Ensure all project status is tracked and completed paperwork is turned into the Supervisor or Manager
  • Ensure all left over material or product is staged restocked
  • Ensure all scrap material is disposed of properly and that good housekeeping practices are followed, including sweeping the floor and removing trash
  • Assist Supervisor with other tasks as assigned

To be considered as a candidate for the Packaging Department Assistant Supervisor the following minimum requirements must be met :

  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred
  • Above average written and oral communication skills required
  • Must have good basic mathematics skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pound on a regular basis
  • Must be able to stand for 8 or more hours as needed
  • Ability to grasp, twist, lift, reach, bend essential
