The Market Operations team ensures that the RWE Renewables Americas fleet is prepared and operating to our business needs within each Independent System Operator (ISO) market. RWE is looking for a talented, innovative, dedicated Energy Market Integration Engineer to partner in our venture!
Role Responsibilities :
- Support the market registration and qualification process for new renewable projects and ensure they meet the ISO requirements and deadlines
- Review ISO rules for impact on the project and other RWE teams
- Coordinate Request Form Information with internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues
- Perform data analysis and reporting on the operation and performance of assets
- Schedule and coordinate submit performance testing for new and existing renewable projects
- Review test results prior to submission to the ISO
- Develop innovative processes to improve the capabilities of the team
- Track proposed and approved changes to ISO protocols or tariffs
- Maintain and develop knowledge of ISO requirements to support the successful expansion and operation of the RWE fleet
- PJM, MISO, or NY-ISO experience are is a plus
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the market requirements PJM, MISO, or NY-ISO and provide information to RWE management and other RWE teams as required
- May lead cross-functional projects to ensure ISO requirements are met, enter into new markets, or improve RWE fleet operations
- Able to provide training to peers
Job Requirements and Experiences :
A Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a relevant study is preferredStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage customer relationshipsDemonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables spaceExcellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and TeamsStrong analytical skills, leadership, communication, and ability to meet deadlinesStrong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverablesAbility to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a teamMotivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilitiesProven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgroundsResponds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachableIs detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business conceptsThis position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE offices and field locationsThis position is located in Austin, TexasMust be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of timeWork Environment :
