Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Automation and Controls Engineer to support the development of revolutionary processor technologies at our advanced fabrication facilities. This role involves enhancing efficiency in existing processes and tools through scripting, as well as developing standard solutions for facility control systems that support global manufacturing operations. You will work alongside a high-performing team, leveraging cutting-edge tools and technologies in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and standardize automation solutions for facility control systems across global manufacturing operations.
- Enhance operational efficiencies using scripting and advanced automation techniques.
- Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to support factory infrastructure.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize existing automation platforms (e.g., PLC and SCADA systems).
- Parse, extract, and manipulate data for system improvements and reporting.
- Utilize advanced programming tools and scripting to streamline facility operations and reporting tools.
- Apply knowledge of instrumentation and facility systems for continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems and Controls, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities automation or a related technical role.Hands-on experience with :
Scripting and high-level programming languages.Operating systems, databases, and networking.SQL, PowerShell, Excel VBA, and GUI development.Parsing and manipulating data structures (e.g., CSV, XML).In-depth knowledge of industrial automation systems, such as :GEFanuc CimplicityRockwell Automation ControlLogix PLCSCADA systemsPreferred Qualifications :
GPA of 3.25 or higher in a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree program.Experience in facility operations, design, and construction practices.Familiarity with code version control tools and regular expressions.Strong understanding of instrumentation and control systems.Certifications :
Certifications in PLC programming, SCADA systems, or industrial automation are a plus but not required.Education : Bachelors Degree
