Financial Planning Consultant

The Financial Planning Consultant plays a pivotal role in advancing financial planning adoption and excellence across U.S. Bank Wealth Management. This strategic role will partner closely with wealth management teams, field leaders, and other stakeholders to elevate the client experience through planning expertise.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Coaching and Support :

  • Serve as a planning SME to wealth management teams, providing proactive coaching and consultative guidance
  • Collaborate with field leaders to identify high impact teams and opportunities for planning growth
  • Strategize with teams on client goals, planning approaches, and implementation

Planning Adoption and Influence :

  • Drive traction and adoption of financial planning tools and processes across the field
  • Partner with leadership to promote planning as a core component of the client relationships
  • Act as a change agent, helping teams prepare for and embrace planning-related enhancements
  • Product Training and Enablement :

  • Develop and deliver engaging presentations and educational content for teams and field leadership
  • Provide ongoing support for planning technology, tools, and best practices
  • Operational Excellence and Risk Management :

  • Lead initiatives to improve planning processes, ensure quality through plan reviews, and uphold risk management standards
  • Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 10 or more years of experience in wealth management
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Deep expertise in retirement and wealth management financial planning
  • Well developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in developing educational content and delivering impactful training
  • Consultative mindset with a strategic approach to influence
  • Familiarity with financial planning technology platforms
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships
  • FINRA Series 7 & 63, or willingness to obtain
