Job Title : Manufacturing Engineer – Process Optimization & Production Support

Location : Grand Rapids, MI

Overview :

A growing manufacturer in Grand Rapids is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production, support the floor, and drive operational improvements. Ideal for someone who enjoys solving hands-on problems and collaborating across teams.

You’ll work with design, production, and quality to scale manufacturing, troubleshoot issues, and reduce waste. If you're a practical engineer focused on turning plans into production—you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Do :

Improve processes for safety, quality, and efficiency

Create SOPs, work instructions, and routings

Troubleshoot issues in real-time on the floor

Lead cost-saving initiatives and lean efforts

Partner with design on DFM and new product ramp-up

Support tooling, layout, and equipment improvements

Analyze production metrics and downtime reports

What We’re Looking For :

Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering

2+ years in a manufacturing / production engineering role

Strong troubleshooting and floor presence

Familiar with lean tools, documentation, and root cause analysis

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship

Bonus : CAD, ERP, or automation experience
