Job Summary
The Quality Control Inspector III is responsible for ensuring that incoming materials, in-process production, and final products meet established quality standards. This role involves inspecting materials, parts, and products at various stages of production, identifying defects, and recommending process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct inspections and tests on materials, parts, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Identify structural flaws, internal defects, or missing welds and determine whether to accept, reject, or request rework.
Maintain and revise quality standards for receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
Record observations and provide recommendations for improving production processes.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, handling hazardous materials when necessary.
Operate or supervise vehicles, heavy equipment, or machinery as required.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong ability to interpret technical schematics and drawings.
Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerance interpretation.
Extensive experience in finished goods inspection.
Familiarity with Costpoint and / or AEGIS-MES systems.
Understanding of material flow in operations.
Ability to draft work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
FAA A&P License preferred.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience .
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience.
Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Working Conditions
Frequent exposure to outdoor elements such as extreme temperatures, sun, rain, or snow.
Occasional exposure to fumes, hazardous chemicals, and loud noises.
Frequent physical activity including walking, standing, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs .
