About the Role

The Employee and Labor Relations Specialist will serve as the primary contact for employee relations matters, ensuring fair treatment, compliance with employment laws, and alignment with EAS values. This role is critical to maintaining positive employer-employee relationships, resolving workplace concerns, and promoting employee engagement across all EAS sites.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for intake and assessment of employee complaints and concerns.
  • Engage in daily interaction with employees to support workplace engagement and address questions.
  • Respond to routine labor relations inquiries regarding company policies and procedures; escalate complex matters to management.
  • Partner with leadership to address long-term or recurring performance issues.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of employee relations practices to strengthen company culture and employee engagement.
  • Conduct initial interviews and fact-finding for workplace complaints, harassment allegations, and other employee relations issues; notify HR staff when additional investigation is needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and best practices related to EEO, affirmative action, unions, collective bargaining, and HR compliance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) – Required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required for driving responsibilities
  • Ability to travel up to 100% between EAS sites
