Position Summary Diagnoses and treats speech, language, voice and swallowing disorders for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient based on current standards and guidelines of ASHA. Provides patient / family education to maximize swallowing and communication outcomes. Involved in program development and marketing.Education Masters Degree - RequiredExperience 1-2 Years Clinical - PreferredLicense & Certification After Clinical Fellowship completed, National Certification required within 12 months of filling this position.Paid Clinical Experience temporary permits are acceptable to fill position, Professional License with State of Practice Required within 12 months of filling this position.

- Core Job Functions Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of current Speech / Language technology for job performance. Makes suggestions for technology / supplies to enhance the Speech Therapy program. Uses supplies per budget guidelines. Provides diagnostic / prognostic evaluation and treatment for speech, language, cognitive, swallowing and voice disorders per ASHA guidelines. Communicates effectively with physicians / staff / patients / families regarding patient progress, decline and behaviors as needed. Participates in marketing and research activities. Participates in marketing activities to support the Speech program. Maintains individual productivity according to department standards. Meets educational requirements for Hospital and licensure / certification.
