Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Technician to join our dynamic and rapidly expanding team. In this role, you will take the lead on complex security projects, overseeing installations and ensuring seamless system integration for our enterprise-level clients. Your day-to-day activities will include project oversight in the field, system programming, project activation and commissioning, and installation of sophisticated field devices. You will be responsible for servicing high-end integrated security devices and may occasionally travel to various client sites. This position offers significant impact on both our clients' security infrastructure and our company's continued growth. You will collaborate closely with project managers, work directly with sub-contractors under your supervision, and interface with clients to ensure their security needs are met with the highest standards. Duties and Responsibilities Oversee security projects from initiation to completion in field environments Program and configure enterprise-level security systems Lead project activation and commissioning processes Install and maintain sophisticated field devices and integrated security systems Supervise and coordinate sub-contractor activities on project sites Service high-end access control, intrusion detection, and video management systems Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide technical solutions Ensure compliance with local electronic security codes and industry standards Maintain detailed project documentation and progress reports Communicate project status and technical issues to management and clients Travel to various client locations within the DFW area as required Required Experience / Skills Minimum 5+ years of experience leading and managing security projects Minimum 3+ years of experience supervising sub-contractors Extensive experience installing and maintaining enterprise-level access control systems Proven expertise with intrusion detection systems (IDS), both fiber and copper based Strong background with enterprise-level video management systems (IP-based) Solid networking and IT knowledge Superior problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Familiarity with local electronic security codes and industry standards Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate company vehicle Experience working safely in chemical plant environments Proficiency with AutoCAD, Visio, MS Project, and Microsoft Office products Nice-to-Haves Access Control System Vendor Certifications (Software House, Genetec, Open Options, ProWatch, Lenel) Video Management System Vendor Certifications (Genetec, OnSSI, MaxPro, Milestone) Intrusion Detection System Vendor Certifications (Senstar / Optellios, FFT) Advanced experience in computer operating systems and network design / implementation TWIC Card holder Previous experience in industrial or chemical plant security systems Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certifications or associate degree in electronics, security systems, or related field preferred.
