The Collier Companies is seeking a Real Estate Multifamily Development Manager!
This is an on-site role, reporting out of The Collier Companies Florida Home Office in Gainesville, which offers beautiful natural areas, a temperate climate, and tremendous educational, cultural, and commercial opportunities. The Development Manager is responsible for executing all functions of multifamily development with a focus on pursuing new development opportunities, obtaining entitlements, due diligence, managing the design process, development schedule, project-level financial analysis, and overall management of the development process. The Development Manager is expected to successfully collaborate with team members and manage multifaceted tasks for multiple projects with short deadlines.
The Development Manager will work with the construction team in reviewing each phase of the construction cycle and managing specifications.
The Development Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Development.

Qualifications
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Direct all phases of the real estate development process from inception to stabilization including acquisition, entitlements, planning, design, permitting, construction, and lease-up.
Source, underwrite, and perform detailed technical and financial due diligence on new opportunities
Prepare, maintain, and monitor project budgets and prepare monthly development reports
Prepare and maintain project level financial projections and analyses
Manage zoning, entitlement, and permitting activities
Manage product and design specifications and all design drawings from concept through permitting
Review and analyze all project design plans to drive quality and cost effectiveness
Negotiate consultant’s contracts and change orders
Conduct general construction site visits
Participate in development meetings
Oversee coordination with the architect, engineer, landscape architects, interior designers, finance, operations, construction, development managers, and development associates.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and directly manage two or more employees
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Engineering or other related field
MBA, MSRE or Master’s Degree with applicable concentrations preferred
Three to Five years’ experience of significant experience in real estate development, land development, and project management with an emphasis on multi-family
Demonstrated ability to build and direct effective teams to deliver complex projects to completion
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously through self-motivation, high energy, flexibility, and excellent organizational skills
Strong Quantitative skills, follow-through, deductive reasoning, intellectual curiosity, and a penchant for action
