Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring effective communication with patients.
- Conduct insurance verification of benefits and eligibility to streamline patient intake processes.
- Maintain comprehensive medical records utilizing EHR software to support clinical accuracy and patient confidentiality.
- Keep examination rooms clean and prepared for patient visits and various medical procedures.
- Assist in surgical procedures, providing necessary support to surgeons and other medical staff.
- Support the doctor during clinic hours, managing patient flow and ensuring all medical supplies are readily available.
- Occasionally rotate between front and back office roles to support overall office operations and enhance service delivery.
- Provide excellent patient care with a consistent customer service attitude, ensuring a positive experience for each patient.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in a back office or similar role; experience in vascular surgery practice is an asset.Knowledge of using EHR software, with a preference for candidates experienced in AthenaOne.Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of maintaining accurate and detailed clinical documentation.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in both English and Spanish highly preferred.A strong work ethic and a positive team-oriented attitude.Formal training or certification as a Medical Assistant is required.Commitment to adhering to privacy laws and maintaining confidentiality pertaining to patient information.
