Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Test Director / Project Engineer to lead the test and integration efforts for the Armed Overwatch (Sky Warden) program. This role is critical to ensuring the successful execution of the aircraft test program, managing cross-functional engineering teams, and driving program performance across schedule, cost, and technical objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of the aircraft test program, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Develop and oversee test procedures, troubleshooting strategies, and engineering change proposals (ECPs).
- Collaborate with the program office to provide status updates, manage schedules, and coordinate cross-functional efforts.
- Supervise and grow a team of 8–10 engineers, with expansion expected as the program enters production.
- Track and manage engineering performance metrics; report monthly to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with performance, reliability, and safety standards throughout the test lifecycle.
- Lead bid and proposal activities, including technical volume development for ROMs, RFIs, and RFPs.
- Resolve design and integration challenges across hardware and software systems.
- Translate system requirements into testable components and validate system functionality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in project management, test planning, and systems engineering.Strong background in EVMS, troubleshooting, and engineering coordination.Hands-on experience with aircraft systems and test environments.Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex technical programs.Proficiency in MS Office Suite and engineering documentation tools.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in aerospace or defense engineering roles.Citizenship and active Secret Clearance (TS / SCI preferred).Preferred Skills
Systems Engineers with experience tracing requirements to test execution.Former military personnel (., Air Force) with hands-on operational experience and technical education.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00 / hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Waco,TX.
