We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our Payroll Processing Team . This role oversees all aspects of payroll operations across the MUSC Health enterprise, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees while maintaining compliance with all tax and labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee all payroll cycles, including wage calculations, tax withholdings, and payment processing
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and labor regulations
- Manage and lead the Payroll Processing Team, including mentoring, workload oversight, and performance management
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure data accuracy and timely updates
- Partner with MUSC’s Sustainment Team to maintain payroll, timekeeping, and absence systems
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
- Develop, implement, and maintain payroll policies and procedures
- Manage year-end and fiscal procedures, including W-2 processing
- Prepare and reconcile payroll data for financial reporting and external audits
- Oversee benefit deductions, wage garnishments, and other specialized withholdings
- Stay current with payroll regulations, tax law changes, and industry best practices
- Represent payroll as a leader and subject matter expert on internal MUSC Health committees and projects
