Engineering Manager – Integrations (AI-Driven SaaS)

Location : New York City or Remote for the right candidate

The Integrations Team is at the heart of this transformation, connecting core platform capabilities to customer systems and workflows. By processing high volumes of structured and unstructured data from third-party platforms and document systems, the team enables AI-powered automation to drive efficiency, insights, and measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and Scale a High-Impact Engineering Team

  • Manage, mentor, and grow a backend-focused engineering team
  • Define technical vision, set priorities, and align execution with company and product strategy

Drive Integration Platform Strategy

  • Oversee a multi-tenant integration architecture designed for high-throughput data ingestion
  • Work with third-party APIs, file systems, authentication layers (OAuth, SAML), and more
  • Ensure the platform is scalable, observable, and reliable across partner ecosystems

    • Champion External Developer & Partner Experience

  • Collaborate with external developers and partners to deliver seamless integrations
  • Build internal tooling, documentation, and frameworks to support extensibility, adoption, and security

    • Ensure Data Integrity & Platform Resilience

  • Establish best practices for uptime, fault tolerance, schema mapping, data validation, and observability
  • Champion quality and reliability across downstream systems

    • Collaborate Cross-Functionally

  • Partner with Product, Machine Learning, and Customer Success teams to deliver integrated, AI-enhanced solutions
  • Contribute to broader system architecture and long-term technical planning

    • Qualifications

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading backend or integrations teams
  • Strong background in Node.js, TypeScript, and integration design (pagination, retries, token refresh, rate limiting)
  • Proven experience designing scalable backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines
  • Detail-oriented execution mindset with a strong focus on reliability and customer outcomes
  • Bonus : Experience with document-heavy workflows, enterprise SaaS platforms, or field operations technology
