Job Description :

  • Seeking an experienced Principal Systems Engineer to support the GPI program's SEIT Technical Execution Lead Engineer to define the environmental requirements. (Environments RSE). This position will serve on-site in Chandler, AZ.

    • Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for working under general direction for the SEIT Technical Execution Lead to define the environmental requirements and ensure traceability from Level 4 down to Level 6 within the specification tree.
  • Responsible for frequent interorganizational interactions to carry requirements through the design.
  • Responsible for collaboration with senior systems engineers and other disciplines to support the development of the NGI deliverables.

    • Basic Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer :

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 5 years of related engineering experience;or a Master's degree in STEM with 3 years of related engineering experience, or a PhD in STEM with no experience
  • Solid foundational understanding of Systems Engineering
  • General understanding of all design disciplines
  • Demonstrated experience in requirements development and decomposition, validation and verification
  • Demonstrated experience in requirements traceability
  • DOORS or other requirements Management Experience
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and nontechnical personnel
  • Interim Secret DoD security clearance, or higher - Most work is performed in a closed area

    • Preferred Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer :

  • Systems Engineering experience
  • Requirement decomposition, functional flow diagrams, Use case analysis
  • Experience working fast paced development programs
  • Sysml or Cameo Experience
  • Due to the nature of the work, a United States Government Clearance is required to be eligible for the position
