Position Overview
We're hiring a Field Director to lead day-to-day field operations for our janitorial division. This is a high-travel, people-facing role responsible for managing client accounts, leading field teams, and driving operational execution across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, exceptional communication, and a deep understanding of janitorial services . This role reports directly to the COO.
The Ideal Candidate
- Brings 3–5+ years of team leadership and operations management
- Has experience managing large-scale janitorial or service-based field teams
- Thrives in a client-facing, high-accountability environment
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Familiar with union labor dynamics (32BJ a plus)
- Conversational in Yiddish or Spanish preferred
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Manage and coach field managers and supervisors
Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and performance for field staffLead weekly field operations meetingsDrive team accountability and continuous improvementAccount Management
Serve as primary point of contact for key clientsManage new job walk-throughs, setups, and job scope planningOversee job budgets and timelinesBuild and grow relationships to drive retention and upsell servicesOperations Oversight
Monitor field team performance and resolve issues proactivelyReview weekly payroll for compliance and accuracyGenerate and support marketing and growth campaignsCommunicate field updates to senior leadershipQualifications
3–5 years in operations, field management, or service industry leadershipProven ability to lead and grow high-performing teamsStrong communication and customer service mindsetTech-savvy : time tracking, CRM / PO systems, and Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of janitorial procedures and job costing best practicesMust-Haves
