Senior Mechanic

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

Diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment efficiently and accurately, including but not limited to : - 2-, 3-, and 4-cylinder gas engines

Truck-mounted carpet cleaning units

• Portable carpet extractors
• Hard surface floor cleaning machines
• Duct cleaning equipment
• Deodorizing units, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, air movers, HEPA vacuums

Utilize diagnostic tools, manufacturer repair manuals, and troubleshooting guides effectively

Evaluate additional repair needs and communicate recommendations clearly to the service team and customers

Meet or exceed quality and productivity goals set by the service department

Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas

Assist fellow technicians and collaborate with store staff as needed

Accurately create service orders and manage repair schedules using scheduling software

Communicate with customers via phone, email, and in-person to provide estimates, schedule services, and explain repair details

Coordinate shop workload and repair priorities with other technicians and team members

Order necessary parts and coordinate with vendors

Uphold safety standards at all times, using proper protective equipment

Qualifications :

Minimum of 2 years of experience in any of the following : - Commercial cleaning and restoration equipment

Small engine repair and maintenance

High school diploma or equivalent required

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (no DUIs or reckless driving violations in the past 3 years)

Own a basic set of mechanic tools

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Professional appearance, effective written and verbal communication skills

Basic computer literacy

Ability to lift 50+ lbs. regularly and work in a physically active role

Willingness to work occasional overtime
