Assembler

Join a world-class leader in designing, building, and manufacturing aerospace structures, systems, and components for a diverse range of aerospace customers, including commercial, business, regional, and military sectors. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for performing pre-assembly tasks such as drilling and deburring parts, assembling component parts by attaching them together using various techniques including installing ground studs, attaching nut plates, and bonding. You will utilize hand and pneumatic tools, measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers, and perform riveting and countersinking tasks. You will work from aerospace blueprints and schematics. Prior experience in mechanical assembly is desirable, and you will be trained in all necessary skills.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform pre-assembly tasks such as drilling and deburring parts.
  • Assemble component parts, attaching them using ground studs, nut plates, and bonding.
  • Utilize hand and pneumatic tools for assembly tasks.
  • Use measuring tools like micrometers and calipers to ensure precision.
  • Perform riveting and countersinking operations.
  • Work from aerospace blueprints and schematics.

Essential Skills :

  • Prior aerospace assembly experience.
  • Experience with sheet metal assembly.
  • Proficiency in countersinking and squeezing techniques.
  • Mechanical inclination and positive attitude.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, shim gauges, and height gauges.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions and blueprints.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to read and speak English.
  • Experience with hand tools.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications :

  • Experience in using various hand and pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Preference for working in a team or independently as needed.

    Work Environment :

    Work in a clean manufacturing shop specializing in steel and sheet metal for aerospace parts, including for Boeing. The environment is organized and can be loud and heavy due to the nature of the work. The regular shift is from 6 : 30 am to 3 : 00 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential early starts post-training. Candidates must provide physical proof of citizenship by their first day, ensuring compliance with regulations.

    Job Type & Location :

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Washington.

    Pay and Benefits :

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
