Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Chairperson of Mathematics, Engineering Technologies and Computer Sciences Division or designee, the Laboratory Technician is responsible for the maintenance, preparation and repair of the laboratory equipment, facilities and computer systems in the Center for Technology.

Be part of a collaborative and mission-driven college community. Supervisory Role Duties & Responsibilities 1. Maintain, prepare and repair the electronics, robotics, mechanical, civil, architecture, computer and other departmental laboratories, as requested.2. Prepare, gather and make available materials needed for laboratories.3. Set up and take down laboratory equipment.4. Maintain electronic inventory of test equipment, tools, components and related CFT assets.5. Repair and calibrate test equipment including power supplies, signal generators, multi-meters and all academic equipment in the CFT building.6. Prepare, test set-up and component set for performance of lab procedures, as requested by faculty.7. Assist college staff in the proper use of lab facilities.8. Assist in the laboratory during instruction, as assigned.9. Assist college staff and faculty in the CFT building with operational needs, including supplies and equipment.10. Maintain electronic system log and maintenance schedule for all lab equipment.11. Prepare CFT related purchase requisitions to maintain and upgrade lab equipment.12. Prepare Perkins related and other grant purchase requisitions and oversee the delivery, installation and maintenance of the equipment.13. Prepare routine, special and ancillary reports as required. This includes ongoing inventory, purchase requisitions and maintenance logs.14. Perform other related duties as required.
