Location : Nederland, TX 77627Schedule :  Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 . – 5 : 00 .

Employment Type :  Full-Time, Contract Position Summary :

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant (MA) to join our clinical team. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality care and excellent customer service while maintaining compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities :

  • Organize and maintain the clinical environment to support patient care.
  • Assist physicians and nursing personnel with procedures and patient interactions.
  • Perform tasks within scope of practice under direct supervision of a provider.
  • Identify patient needs and communicate relevant information to the clinical team.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control, privacy, and confidentiality standards.
  • Complete all mandatory training and maintain required certifications.

Daily Duties May Include :

  • Preparing patients for exams and procedures.
  • Taking and recording vital signs.
  • Administering medications as directed.
  • Assisting with diagnostic tests and specimen collection.
  • Documenting patient information accurately in electronic health records.
  • Supporting front desk operations as needed.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.
  • Current BLS certification for healthcare providers (written exam and in-person assessment) at time of hire or within 30 days.
  • Basic computer literacy; intermediate Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding.
  • Bilingual proficiency.
