Brown & Brown is seeking a Risk Placement Specialist to join our growing team. This individual assists the Sales Agent, Account Manager and Team Leader with the marketing efforts (quoting new and / or renewal business with our preferred insurance carriers). How You Will Contribute : Assist with the marketing efforts of new business and / or renewal accounts by preparing insurance submissions which will include applications, loss runs and any other pertinent information on the account. Submit the insurance submission to the insurance carriers for quoting via email and online rating. Follow up with carriers on quotations of the submissions. Develop relationships with insurance carriers. Develop in-depth knowledge of different insurance products offered by insurance carriers - rating plans, programs and guidelines. Contact carriers as necessary to discuss issues and problems pertaining to the submissions. Maintain open communication during difficult insurance carrier issues at the direction of the Sales Producer, Account Manager or Team Leader. Prepare insurance proposals reflecting coverage and premiums to present to clients and prospects as directed by the Sales Producer, Account Manager or Team Leader. Prepare applications and necessary bind documents for new business and / or renewals. Maintain client files with necessary documents following compliance procedures. Maintain client files with necessary information during the quoting process. Setup new business accounts and assign to CSR once the account has been bound with the insurance carriers. Bind policies and ensure the policies are issued correctly with the carrier. Assist the Sales Producer and Team Leader with tracking all new business activity. Assist the Sales Producer, Account Manager and Team Leader with the organization of all marketing materials of insurance carriers as a resource for the agency. Update Marketing Log. Maintain a strong sense of urgency for accomplishment of tasks and deadlines. Maintain and develop strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and the agency management system. Maintain favorable relationships with coworkers and insurance company contacts. Skills and Experience to be Successful : Interpersonal skills, outgoing and strong in relationship building Strong verbal and written communications skills Driven and competitive personality High level of reliability and dependability. Able to deal with tasks in an organized and prioritized manner.
