D2 Government Solutions, a trusted provider of aviation support services, is seeking dedicated Aircraft Wash Technicians to support the 934th Maintenance Group (934 MXG) at the Minnesota Air Force Reserve Base. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and readiness of C-130H aircraft in accordance with Air Force technical orders and federal standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete exterior washes of C-130H aircraft in accordance with Air Force Technical Orders (T.O. 1C-130A-23, 23CL-1, and 1-1-691).
  • Conduct pre-wash inspections to identify and report discrepancies, damage, or safety concerns to government representatives within required timeframes.
  • Execute washing tasks, including hand brushing / scrubbing of heavily soiled areas such as wheel wells, exhaust tracks, and wing flaps, while ensuring compliance with restrictions (e.g., no abrasive pads on windows).
  • Safely use authorized cleaning products and ensure proper dilution and application per technical specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, removing foreign objects, tools, and debris after each wash.
  • Operate approved wash equipment such as pressure washers, sprayers, B-5 / B-1 stands, and aerial boom lifts (with training / certification).
  • Adhere to OSHA / AFOSH standards and use required PPE (protective clothing, gloves, goggles, ear protection, etc.).
  • Report facility deficiencies, mishaps, or incidents promptly to designated officials.
  • Ensure all equipment and government-furnished materials are properly maintained, stored, and returned after use.

Work Schedule

  • Primary hours : 0600–2300 (Mon–Thu), 0600–1800 (Fri), 0600–1600 (UTA weekends) .
  • Aircraft washes may be scheduled on weekends or adjusted with advance notice.
  • Ability to respond to both routine and expedited requests within required timelines.
  • Requirements

  • Previous experience in aircraft washing, heavy equipment cleaning, or related maintenance preferred.
  • Knowledge of Air Force Technical Orders for washing and corrosion control (training provided).
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to the 934th Airlift Wing installation (security clearance not required but base access vetting applies).
  • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to follow strict technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to schedule changes.
  • Training Provided

  • Annual review of applicable Air Force Technical Orders.
  • OSHA-required safety training.
  • Fall protection and lift equipment certification (if needed).
  • Familiarization with FOD (Foreign Object Damage) prevention and Tool Control procedure
