Aegis Weapon System (AWS) Engineer

Our work depends on an Aegis Weapon System (AWS) Engineer joining our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities.

As an Aegis Weapon System (AWS) Engineer supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities.

Specific responsibilities include :

Ensure the AN / SPY Radar System is operable and available to support testing;

Coordinate with the AN / SPY Radar Systems Engineer for signal processor / antenna matters;

Assist with CSAV;

Assist with radiation safety (SPY / FCS);

Support test leads for system installations

Submit AN / SPY Radar System equipment status reports;

Review technical data packages for system implementation;

Supports cable data base including the Automatic Cable Tester (ACT) list; and

Monitors ACS support systems (ECW, dry air, HVAC, ship's power).

WHAT YOU’LL NEED :

BA / BS, 6+ yrs (or 10+ yrs)

A US DoD Secret security clearance is required

Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger GDIT Navy and Marine Corps Sector.

U.S. Citizenship is required

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $82,283 - $111,323. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
