Job Title : IT Business Analyst

Location : Los Angeles

Department : Information Technology

Reports To : CIO

Position Overview

The IT Business Analyst plays a critical role in aligning technology solutions with business objectives at NAC. This position supports the planning, execution, and delivery of IT initiatives by gathering and analyzing requirements, coordinating and managing projects, and driving process improvements. Working closely with IT leadership, project teams, and business stakeholders, the IT Business Analyst ensures that technology investments deliver measurable value and operational efficiency.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, collaborative problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about improving systems and processes through thoughtful analysis and coordination.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Business Analysis and Requirements :
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops and surveys to gather, document, prioritize and validate business requirements.
  • Perform gap analyses between current and desired business states to inform solution recommendations.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional design specifications.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions based on business needs, feasibility and ROI.
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and business users to ensure shared understanding and successful delivery.
  • Project Coordination and Management :
  • Support intake and triage of IT project requests, ensuring timely evaluation and response.
  • Facilitate prioritization discussions with stakeholders to align resources with business priorities.
  • Serve as project coordinator / manager for IT initiatives and business projects as assigned, tracking progress, risks, and deliverables.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including timelines, status updates, and meeting notes.
  • Support project lifecycle (requirements, design, development, testing, change management, deployment, adoption support) for projects as assigned.
  • Maintain IT project backlog / IT project portfolio.
  • IT Process Documentation and Improvement

Work with IT staff and leadership to :

  • Map current and future state processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze workflows to uncover inefficiencies and recommend enhancements.
  • Support change management efforts by documenting and communicating process changes.
  • Ensure process documentation is current, accessible, and aligned with organizational standards.
  • IT Management Support
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of IT dashboards and performance metrics.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of IT processes, procedures and policies.
  • Management support responsibilities as assigned.
  • Requirements :

    Preferred Qualifications & Skills :

    Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-4+ years of experience in business analysis, IT project management, or a similar role.
  • Business Analysis Skills :

  • Experience eliciting and documenting business and user requirements through interviews, workshops and research.
  • Experience translating ideas and opportunities into actionable use cases and solution requirements.
  • Proficiency in process workflow mapping and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Project Management Skills :

  • Experience developing work plans and managing resources against project timelines.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies or iterative prototyping cycles
  • Experience supporting change management efforts during technology adoption.
  • Proficiency in communicating project status and progress to stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills :

  • Familiarity with project management tools to track tasks and milestones (e.g. Planner, Project, Jira).
  • Experience with business process modeling tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in digital collaboration tools (e.g. Miro or Mural)
  • Proficiency in Teams and Microsoft 365
  • Analytical Skills :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills :

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Collaboration and Organizational Skills :

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
