Job Description : Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior WCS Engineer to lead and support development efforts on WCS based ecommerce platforms The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in enterprise Java development and a strong understanding of WCS subsystems along with experience in modern architectural patterns including microservices and cloud native deployments
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain scalable ecommerce solutions using IBM WebSphere Commerce WCS
- Lead implementation and customization of WCS subsystems Catalog Order Member Promotions and Search
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to define technical solutions aligned with business goals
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for seamless communication between services
- Contribute to the migration and modernization of legacy WCS components into microservices architecture
- Support deployment and monitoring of applications in cloud native environments eg AWS Azure GCP
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers
Required Skills Experience
Minimum 8 years of hands on experience in IBM WCS developmentStrong proficiency in JavaJ2EE JSP Servlets and Spring FrameworkIndepth knowledge of WCS subsystems Catalog Order Member Promotions SearchExperience with RESTful API design and integrationFamiliarity with microservices architecture and containerization Docker KubernetesExposure to cloud native deployments and CICD pipelinesExcellent problem solving and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications
Experience with headless commerce or MACH architectureKnowledge of DevOps practices and tools Jenkins Git TerraformIBM WCS certification is a plus
