Medicare Billing Clerk

Southeast Texas HR is seeking a dependable Medicare Billing Clerk to join our team in the hospital and healthcare industry. As our Medicare Billing Clerk you will be responsible for providing quality research, tracking, and correcting all Medicare claims for patients. You will be working with accounting and billing to ensure all billing procedures are followed in a timely and precise manner. This is a full-time day position. Pay will start at $ per hour.

Responsibilities

• Review and correct all Medicare claims daily.
• Verify and update information to ensure accurate patient billing records.
• Review all Medicare remittance reports for errors, denials, and incorrect payments.
• Review and track all aging reports to ensure all outstanding claims are resolved.
• Verify inpatient accounts for authorization before billing.
• Ensure accuracy of accounts and submit corrections to the patient account including denials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
