Job Summary : The Community Relations Manager builds and maintains strong relationships with various healthcare and community entities, acting as a hospice liaison. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be proficient in various software tools, and exhibit an understanding of hospice care and philosophy. The CRM must also assist in implementing sales / marketing plans that will meet or exceed the company’s overall business plan, census goals and financial objectives.

The Full-Time Community Relations Manager will cover the areas north of I-70 along Denver's Front Range (Thornton, Westminster, Boulder, Brighton, etc.).

Responsibilities / Essential functions of role :

  • Secure new accounts in assisted living, memory care, independent living, skilled nursing facilities, and doctors' offices.
  • Partnership development; foster relationships with recreation centers, adult day centers, churches, hospitals, and doctors.
  • Attend marketing events such as Senior Blue Book, Morning Mingle, community events, open houses etc.
  • Hospice Advocacy : Clearly articulate the hospice philosophy, including the scope of services and insurance coverage to families, patients, doctors, and communities.
  • Family and Patient Interaction : Engage in end-of-life care discussions with families and patients with sensitivity and compassion.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Technical Proficiency : Utilize Excel, email, CRM, and EMR systems confidently.
  • Listen / acknowledge feedback from communities and pass along feedback to Director of Community Partnerships
  • Consistently perform weekly or semi-monthly contact with facilities by phone, email or walk-in as directed by Director of Marketing
  • Own the shared Community Contact spreadsheet and continually update facility contact information as it changes

Qualifications / Requirements :

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare marketing, sales, or related field.
  • A valid driver’s license with good driving history and reliable transportation are required for frequent travel throughout the territory.
  • Profound understanding of hospice care principles and practices.- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms (we use Trella), and EMR systems (we use Netsmart / MyUnity).
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices.
  • Willingness to learn, teach, and take ownership of projects and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work alongside other departments in a collaborative and productive fashion
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel within the service area as needed.
  • FLSA Classification : Salary / Exempt (FT)

    Location Classification : Field-first / Remote friendly

    Working Conditions : General offices, long-term care facilities, activity offices / rooms, retail shops and potential exposure to infectious diseases, travel by automobile. This position is classified as “field-first” and remote- friendly.Continuing Education Requirements : Employee is expected to participate in continuing education as required by Medicare or ACHC standards (12 hours per year). Employee must virtually attend mandatory education programs.

    Compensation : $60,000-$75,000 annually for full-time, with bonus potential. Upon benefit eligibility, Dignity Hospice pays 90% of the employee premium towards the base health insurance plan (United Healthcare), dental, and vision plus 3 weeks of Paid Time Off are available during first year of tenure and increases over time. Additionally, a 401(k) match is available with tenure.
