Material Manager needed in Plano!!! Aerospace experience is needed!
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the Receiving, Inventory Control, and warehouse teams with clear expectations, structure, and accountability
- Oversee and execute annual physical inventory audits and ongoing cycle counting programs
- Ensure the accurate and timely flow of materials, parts, and assemblies across departments in line with production and shipping schedules
- Provide daily support to production and assembly teams to prevent material shortages, delays, or bottlenecks
- Coordinate requisitions with Procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials based on job order priorities
- Monitor and manage out-to-vendor material movement and returns, ensuring full documentation and tracking
- Maintain serialized and non-serialized part traceability across the inventory system
- Develop and enforce SOPs for receiving, inventory movement, and materials storage
- Arrange for in-plant transfer and transportation of materials to support production flow
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Planning, Procurement, and Compliance to align material availability with demand
- Examine materials delivered to verify quantity, quality, and type, and resolve any material-related issues
- Identify and address material shortages and inventory discrepancies quickly and effectively
- Stay current on new sources, vendors, and materials relevant to production goals
- Monitor and report on inventory KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in and support the FMDS (Floor Management Development System) to track, communicate, and drive material-related metrics and accountability
