Salary : $126,610 - 215,270 per year

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience leading the architecture, design, and integration of electronic control systems, including hardware, software, and programmable logic devices.
  • Over 8 years of experience in avionics or embedded electronic controls development, with knowledge of systems such as flight controls, engine controls, or mission systems.
  • Experience in full lifecycle development, which encompasses system requirements, design, system-level integration, validation, and verification.
  • Proficient technical writing skills, capable of producing necessary engineering documentation.
  • Preferred : Master’s Degree in a related engineering field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in avionics or electronic controls embedded development, with familiarity with systems such as flight controls, engine controls, or mission systems.
  • Experience in developing formal validation and verification procedures.
  • Skilled in creating architectural models utilizing MBSE methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience using MBSE / SYSML tools, such as MagicDraw / Cameo.
  • Familiarity with Multi-core and ARM processing hardware and software design.
  • Knowledge of safety-critical development processes, including ARP4754, DO-178B / C, and DO-254 or equivalent standards.
  • Experience with circuit design using Mentor Graphics.
  • Understanding of commercial and military certification goals and processes.

Responsibilities :

  • I will perform systems engineering functions that may include :
  • Developing, allocating, and managing complex system, hardware, and software requirements.
  • Researching and creating complex, safety-critical embedded control system designs and architectures.
  • Defining hardware, software, and programmable logic interfaces and functionality.
  • Preparing and reviewing documentation for system designs and architectures according to established systems development processes and procedures.
  • Conducting system / product integration.
  • Verifying and validating moderately complex aspects of system designs to ensure compliance with functional specifications and customer requirements.
  • Producing and reviewing technical documents, specifications, and standards.
  • Supporting proposal development tasks, including text development, cost estimating, and presentation activities.
  • Potentially supporting various specialty-engineering tasks such as Reliability, Maintainability & Availability analysis and Integrated Logistics Support.
