Sterling Engineering is looking for a Supplier Quality Manager to join a leading manufacturing organization. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with ISO quality standards, managing customer and supplier quality performance, and driving continuous improvement in quality systems and metrics across all company facilities. This role works closely with the QHSE Director and Quality Managers at each manufacturing location and is focused on execution and accountability of measurable outcomes.
Job Duties :
Manage and maintain ISO 9001, IATF, and other relevant QMS certifications for all facilities.
Lead documentation control and ensure all procedures and quality manuals remain current and compliant.
Track and report customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions with the support of Quality Managers.
Oversee and report performance metrics related to customer quality, including PPM, delivery quality, and responsiveness.
Track and report PPAP submissions across all programs, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
Maintain supplier quality database, scorecards, audits, and corrective actions.
Support customer audits and internal QMS audits, preparing documentation and responses to findings.
Monitor key quality KPIs (PPM, first pass yield, customer returns, NCRs, etc.) and deliver monthly reports to the QHSE Director.
Collaborate with plant quality teams to resolve systemic issues through trend analysis and external feedback.
Assist in maintaining and improving QMS / EMS / LMS systems and procedures.
Serve as interim Quality Manager at individual sites as needed.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical discipline.
Minimum 7 years of experience in quality systems management within manufacturing, preferably with ISO / IATF scope.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and related standards.
Experience managing customer complaints, PPAPs, and supplier performance systems.
Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality systems software.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
