About The Position
We are seeking a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner for a 70-day locum tenens assignment in Iowa. This opportunity begins on Aug 4, 2025, involving shifts from 8am to 4 : 30pm. The Nurse Practitioner will be integral in managing patient care in a critical access hospital, including a Med / Surg unit, a ED, and a ICU. The role requires handling an average of 4-6 patients per day outside of admissions and discharges, with around 6 admits / discharges daily.

Admit patients from the Emergency Department (ED)Manage patient care on the medical floor and in the ICUHandle discharges directly from the floorCollaborate with specialty backup including Anesthesia, Surgical Services, Radiology, OBGYN, Pediatrics, Neurology, Behavioral Health / Psychiatry, and CardiologyEnsure the continuity of care for transferred patients to facilities in Missouri and IowaAdditional Information
