Job Type :                        This is a full-time position.  Minimum work hour is 40.

Classification :               Fulltime / Salary Exempt

Job Summary :

The Certified Debt Specialist is responsible for converting leads by educating, prequalifying, and building rapport with each client to achieve the company’s revenue goals. The Certified Debt Specialist will report to the Director of Sales.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Collect and analyze information regarding the client’s income, assets, and debts
  • Determine which debt management program best meets the client’s needs and financial circumstances
  • Prequalify and enroll clients into a suitable program based on financial debt analysis
  • Advise the customer regarding the advantages and disadvantages of different debt management products and services
  • Market, promote, and educate DebtBlue debt management products
  • Other duties as required to support department operations

Required Qualifications :

  • 2+ years sales experience (required)
  • Must be able to build rapport. Be skilled in active listening, have empathy when discussing client’s financial health
  • Must be a change agent, have a drive to achieve, be competitive, enthusiastic, and resilient
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Talent to compete in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Problem solver with the ability to multi-task using judgment and decision-
  • making skills
  • Proven experience dealing directly with clients through phone, email, and texts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, client service software, databases, and tools
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Physical and Mental Requirements :

  • Impeccable written and oral communication
  • Ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiations skills
  • Successful track record in a thriving, fast paced environment
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift to 10 pounds
  • Ability to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
  • Work Environment :

  • Office with relatively low to moderate noise level
