Inpatient Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a Coder Policy Specialist - Remote. Key Responsibilities Develop new clinical and coding products in collaboration with Medical Directors and Innovation Teams Leverage data analysis to innovate coding solutions and perform research for coding and clinical targets Monitor program performance and recommend changes to enhance claim selection strategies Required Qualifications, Training, and Education 7-10 years of experience in reviewing and auditing ICD 10 CM / PCS, MS-DRG, and proficient with encoder products Inpatient Coding Certification required (e.g., CCS, CIC, RHIA, RHIT) or other coding certification with inpatient coding experience 5+ years of experience with healthcare policy and Medicare guidelines Experience applying inpatient hospital and outpatient facility coding and billing rules Ability to research State and Federal regulations and develop policies and resources for clinical claim review
