We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Import Customer Service Representative with freight forwarding experience. The ideal candidate will handle the full import process for ocean and air shipments, manage customer communication, and ensure smooth cargo movement from origin to destination.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage import shipments from origin to final delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for import customers, providing timely updates and exceptional service.
- Work with overseas agents, carriers, customs brokers, and truckers to ensure accurate and timely cargo movement.
- Prepare and process documentation including arrival notices, delivery orders, and billing invoices .
- Track and trace shipments, proactively resolving delays or issues.
- Maintain accurate data entry and recordkeeping in the CargoWise system.
- Ensure compliance with all U.S. Customs regulations and company SOPs.
- Support customers with inquiries, document requests, and troubleshooting.
Requirment :
Minimum [2+] years of experience in import freight forwarding, preferably in ocean and air freight.Strong understanding of import documentation, Incoterms, and U.S. Customs procedures.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).Customer service-oriented mindset with problem-solving ability.Proficient in MS Office and freight forwarding CargoWise systems.Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
