You will be working at the Service Parts Logistics department of Base Logistics. We specialize in logistics for the demanding high-tech and medical industries. With a global network of over 600 storage locations at our disposal, we can flexibly and independently determine the best storage site for the goods of our clients.

The team mainly keep customers updated on the progress of their shipments. Our customers and logistics partners can be found worldwide, so the department is also available during the evenings and weekends.

The department is located both in the United States and the Netherlands, your responsibility is to manage the US team.

They address inquiries of customers, stocking locations and transport companies worldwide, via telephone, email and our in-house developed software.

What will your task look like :

• Instruct, coach and supervise employees
• Motivating employees to participate in improvement projects
• Distributing work and overseeing execution
• Ensure implementation of departmental goals as established annually by Manager and report on progress;
• Taking corrective action and solving problems that cannot or should not be solved by employees
• Maintain contacts with various internal and external parties;
• Analyze team results and investigate causes of deviations
• Observe and monitor compliance with legal and company obligations and procedures.
• Taking care of figuring out and resolving complaints giving feedback to the customer
• Ensuring current customer data and records in the transportation management system
• Make (improvement) proposals to manager, reporting opportunities for process improvements
