General Surgeon

Location : Veterans Health Administration, Reno, Nevada

Job Type : Full-time

Job Summary : The Veterans Health Administration is seeking a skilled and dedicated General Surgeon to join our team in Reno, Nevada. As a General Surgeon at the VA, you will provide comprehensive surgical care to our nation's veterans, performing a range of procedures to treat injuries, diseases, and deformities.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct outpatient and inpatient surgical consultations.
Perform a variety of general surgical procedures.
Collaborate and coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to ensure best patient outcomes.
Provide preoperative and postoperative care to surgical patients.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research, as applicable.

Qualifications :

U.S. Citizenship or legal eligibility to work in the United States.

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.

Board certification or board eligibility in General Surgery.

A valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in any U.S. state or territory.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
