Job Title : Commercial Vehicle Group (CVG) Technical Editor

Location : San Diego, CA 92127

Pay Rate : $21 - $25 per hour

Schedule : 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday

Employment Type : 100% Onsite | Temp-to-Hire

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Research and compile diagnostic and repair data using the Electronic Publishing System under the supervision of the Coordinating Senior Editor, Senior Editor, or Team Lead.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and consistency of information within established guidelines.
  • Once fully trained, meet productivity and quality standards.
  • Collaborate in a team environment to support organizational objectives.
  • Recommend improvements to CVG products based on customer feedback or industry knowledge.
  • Stay informed on competitive products and industry trends.
  • Provide project status reports as requested.
  • Maintain a professional and cooperative attitude with internal departments.
  • Develop and expand knowledge of current commercial vehicle applications and technologies.

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • Experience & Education Requirements :

  • High school diploma required; auto shop classes preferred.
  • AA degree or Vo-Tech certification preferred, with emphasis on commercial vehicle diagnostics and repair.
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in the commercial vehicle industry with a focus on diagnostics.
  • ASE certification is a plus.
  • Completion of at least one college-level English writing course or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
  • Ability to identify relevant technical information for diagnostic and repair content.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    • Working Conditions / Physical Requirements :

  • Office environment.
  • Overtime may be required based on business needs, including occasional Saturdays.
