Description
Overnight schedule is Monday - Friday 11 : 00pm - 7 : 00am. Candidates must have the ability to train during the daytime shift 9 : 00am - 5 : 00pm for a few weeks prior to starting the overnight schedule.
Job Requirements
- Experience Required : 0 to 6 months
- Experience Desired : Previous retail and / or clinical pharmacist
- Education Required : Bachelors Degree
- Certification or Licensing Required : Pharmacy – must have current Pennsylvania or Ohio pharmacist license, the other to be obtained after start. Second licensing fees reimbursed by company. Immunization certification / license as required by state.
- Lifting Requirement : Up to 25 pounds
- Age Requirement : At least 18 years of age
Job Responsibility
Operate as a pharmacist in a closed door facility to support retail stores in daily operationsFollow all Company policies and procedures to maximize quality / outcomesVerify prescriptions for accuracy (data verification) and complete drug utilization review (DUR) of prescriptionsProvide telephonic clinical pharmacy services (MTM) to patients in order to optimize patient outcomes including but not limited to Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMR), Targeted Interventions (TIP), Adherence Monitoring Interventions, and Manufacturer ProgramsMaintain production metrics and operational goalsAssist with closed-door pharmacy support programs such as bulk immunization billing, patient support telephone lines, medication recall notification / counseling and other initiatives that can be completed remotely in processing center to remove non customer-facing work from the retail pharmaciesAssist technicians in interpretation of prescriptions and third party billingAttend and participate in quarterly Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) meetingsWork with physicians and nurses to secure clarifications and new prescriptions. Giant Eagle Pharmacy’s Central Fill facility is also located in Freedom, PA. The Central Fill facility is a closed-door pharmacy operation in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
