School Sign Language Interpreter (1 : 1)

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a School Sign Language Interpreter (1 : 1).

Start date : August 2025

Contract Length : 2025 26 School Year, potential to extend

Flexible to work with students of all grade levels

1 : 1 services

Monthly PD offered

Strong support team in place with a Lead Interpreter, Lead DHH Teacher, and Director

Requirements :

Associate's degree in interpreting or a related field and must meet 20 hours of professional learning related to interpreting / transliterating annually

Educational Interpreter I :

Score of 3.3 or higher on the Educational Interpreting Proficiency Assessment (EIPA) or a TEC Unit score of a level 2 for cued language transliterator

Educational Interpreter II :

Score of 3.5 or higher on the Educational Interpreting Proficiency Assessment (EIPA) or a TEC Unit score of a level 3 for cued language transliterator

Educational Interpreter III :

Score 4.0 on the Educational Interpreting Proficiency Assessment (EIPA) or a TEC Unit score of a level 3 for cued language transliterator, may hold a national certification
