Description

Ocean Beauty Seafoods is looking for an order packer for our Portland, OR distribution center! This is a full-time position working the swing shift from 4 : 00pm - 12 : 00am, Sunday - Thursday with starting wage at $23.00 per hour.

Requirements :

  • Experience in the handling and processing of frozen meat or seafood
  • Ability to make decisions and work with plant and sales personnel
  • Some understanding of inventory control and production desired
  • Accurate in recording of product information
  • Basic understanding of math and ability to communicate with all employees, especially sales staff
  • Self starter with good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Good safety record
  • Experience with Pallet Jack

Essential Functions :

  • Properly pick and pack each frozen order accurately by customer standards and specifications
  • Properly rotate and pick frozen product to specifications
  • Properly label boxes with customer name, route number, weights, and contents in each box
  • Weigh product or count pieces before packing and record weights / counts with 100% accuracy
  • Understand safety and manufacturing practices in the handling of food products. Receives incoming product and records weight, number of boxes, species, counts, each, size
