We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Walnut Creek, California. This position requires a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment, demonstrating strong multitasking skills and a commitment to patient care. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in supporting administrative and clinical operations within the clinic.

Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate patient scheduling and registration to ensure seamless clinic operations.
  • Manage medical records with precision, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Facilitate insurance authorization and prior authorization requests for treatments and procedures.
  • Perform patient intake and eligibility verification to streamline the check-in process.
  • Support administrative tasks, including maintaining patient accounts and resolving scheduling conflicts.
  • Triage and prioritize multiple tasks during clinic hours to address urgent patient and operational needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate care.
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise during clinic operations with a solution-focused approach.
  • Uphold attendance and punctuality standards to maintain consistent and reliable clinic support.
  • Ensure integrity and professionalism in all interactions, particularly when handling sensitive patient information.

  • 0-2 years of experience in a medical setting, preferably in specialty or primary care.
  • At least 2 years of experience using Epic systems.
  • Certified Medical Assistant or degree in medical assisting preferred; equivalent experience of 4+ years in a specialty or primary care setting may be considered.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills to manage various responsibilities effectively.
  • Self-motivated and assertive, with the ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of addressing challenges and identifying resolutions promptly.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to patient care in a specialty medical environment.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality to support clinic operations consistently.
