We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Walnut Creek, California. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in supporting administrative and clinical operations within the clinic.
Responsibilities :
- Coordinate patient scheduling and registration to ensure seamless clinic operations.
- Manage medical records with precision, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Facilitate insurance authorization and prior authorization requests for treatments and procedures.
- Perform patient intake and eligibility verification to streamline the check-in process.
- Support administrative tasks, including maintaining patient accounts and resolving scheduling conflicts.
- Triage and prioritize multiple tasks during clinic hours to address urgent patient and operational needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate care.
- Identify and resolve issues that arise during clinic operations with a solution-focused approach.
- Uphold attendance and punctuality standards to maintain consistent and reliable clinic support.
- Ensure integrity and professionalism in all interactions, particularly when handling sensitive patient information.

0-2 years of experience in a medical setting, preferably in specialty or primary care.At least 2 years of experience using Epic systems.Certified Medical Assistant or degree in medical assisting preferred; equivalent experience of 4+ years in a specialty or primary care setting may be considered.Strong multitasking and organizational skills to manage various responsibilities effectively.Self-motivated and assertive, with the ability to work independently.Exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of addressing challenges and identifying resolutions promptly.High level of integrity and commitment to patient care in a specialty medical environment.Reliable attendance and punctuality to support clinic operations consistently.
