Kidney Specialist of Minnesota is hiring! We are looking to hire Full-Time Medical Assistants to help support our providers at our main locations as well as outreach clinics.
This position does require travel and offers mileage reimbursement. KSM is looking for a strong and dynamic team player, with previous clinical experience strongly preferred. Kind and responsive patient care is a must! This role is a combination of administrative tasks (calling patients, working in EMR) and direct patient care. Your work would also support our innovative value based care model, supporting eligible patients in getting access to those wraparound services.
JOB PURPOSE
- Possess an in-depth knowledge of KSM clinic procedures and protocols, along with knowledge of patient care procedures, lab procedures, electronic medical record documentation, medical terminology, and sanitation practices.
- Provide safe, patient-centered care
PATIENT CARE :
Complete rooming and discharge procedures per company protocolsObtain and record vital signs, medical histories and other patient formsComplete accurate medication reconciliationEnsure patient completes labs per policyCollaborate with IOP on completion of same day lab ordersArrange for off-site procedures as ordered by the KSM providerSchedule patients for follow up appointments and / or lab appointmentsProvide education materials to patients as instructed by the KSM providerReview AVS (after visit summary) with patientMANAGE PATIENT MEDICAL RECORDS
Accurately document all information as required by company, state, and federal guidelinesMaintain patient confidentialityAccurately database lab results into appropriate electronic medical recordComplete chart prep procedures to ensure patient visits are completed accurately, safely, and efficientlyPrepare and process lab order formsCLINIC OPERATIONS :
Clean and stock exam rooms dailyReport any supply shortage to the Clinical SupervisorProactively identify safety concerns, submit incident reports, and / or discuss with the Clinical SupervisorGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Perform other duties as assigned and proactively identifies other tasks needing to be addressed / completedDemonstrate professional behavior in interactions with coworkers and patientsFloat to all clinics, including outreach locations, as neededTrain other clinical staff on job duties, policies, or procedure as neededParticipate in weekly huddlesSKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS :
