What you’ll be doing :

• Analyze and interpret partnership agreements to determine the allocation of taxable income to partners.
• Develop standardized technology to aid in the determination of partnership allocations, liability analysis and capital account maintenance.
• Utilize technical partnership tax knowledge to resolve potential tax issues and assist in the calculation of partnership items.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to develop and implement tax strategies that optimize tax obligations.
• Stay abreast of current tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on partnership activities.
• Provide tax guidance on mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings involving partnerships.
• Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, and effectively manage any disputes or negotiations.
• Educate and provide training to internal stakeholders on partnership tax matters to enhance company-wide tax awareness and compliance.
• Review complex partnership tax returns to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Compensation : In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications / licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000 - $250,000.

Remote Eligibility :  This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at a Pinion office or attendance at offsites, as requested / required by the firm and / or your supervisor.
